On September 29, a pay settlement was reached with the two largest Norwegian unions, the Norwegian Union of Industry and Energy Workers and the Norwegian Union of Energy Workers. However, the smallest union, the Norwegian Organisation of Managers and Executives (Lederne) has called for a strike. Lederne broke off mediation efforts in the morning of September 30 and strike action started from midnight October 4 at six fields.
